Minutes
July 29, 2026

1. Call to order 6:33pm
2. Pledge of allegiance
3. Determination of quorum, yes, 6 members present
4. Board members in attendance: Jason Kresge, Mike Volin, Jeff Spotts, Stephen Strong Jr.
   Tom Amalfitano and Dave Rittenburg via phone
5. Others in attendance: Jessica Guthert
6. Approval of July agenda
7. Minutes of the regular May meeting read
8. Borough report: none
9. Treasurer report: Steve reported all CAP funding has been dispersed. Bottom line is $8130.40. 
10. Community report:
    Water-none
    Volunteer fire department- none
    CERT team- 2 reports, 1. Information for CERT training, classes in October at the senior center, information available on website. 2. Fireweed festival requested a response for a person who had passed out. Up and talking by the time of response. No ambulance or service needed.
    Youth council- council was present at the fireweed festival. Sold sodas from their booth
11. Current mail/correspondence: public notice letter received regarding easement East of Scotty Lake. All information and map posted on the council website. Deadline for comments is August 22nd, 2026.
12. Public forum: Ryan Sheldon running for Senate phoned in. Gives appreciation for the community. Jason questions his views on data centers, trawling, PFD’s, etc. Ryan expresses being for the people and what they want.
13. Unfinished business: Bylaws amendment change has 13 signatures in approval, no contest. Board vote, all agree. Quorum determination is now 4 instead of 5 members. Bylaws will be signed by present board members.
    Mike reminds about reimbursement to Steve for a live feed camera in the amount of $149.99. Jeff motions, Mike 2nds.
14. New business: Jason announces resignation of Chairman seat. Will attend the August meeting as a regular member. Gives his thanks to the community for the previous 6 years of being voted for Chairman. The Board will appoint a new Chairman to serve until the next election. Jason also announces that Shawn had stepped down from secretary. As his final act as Chairman, appoints Jessica Guthert as acting secretary until the next election.
    Jeff nominates Mike for Chairman, who accepts. Board votes, all agreed.
15. Motion to adjourn, Tom motions, Jeff 2nds, all agree. 
    Next regular meeting Thursday, August 20th, 2026 6:30 pm
